Settlement Paper for Ralph Udye & family, dated 9 February 1698
 

Cornwall To the Church Wardens & Overseers of the Poor of ye parish of St Breock & to other of the Inhabitants of the said parish
For as Much as Ralph Udye of our parish of St Issey is desirous for the Better Mantaynance of himself and family To Remove in to your said parish of St Breock with his Wife & Children And hath therefore prayed our Certificate according to an act of Parliament on that behalf Made &
provided We the Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor of the said parish of St Issye doe hereby Certify that wee doe owne & acknowledge the said Ralph Udye his Wife & Children to bee all of them Inhabitants of our said parish of St Issy legally settled there
In witness whereof wee the said Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of our said parish of St Issye have here unto sett our hands & seals the Nineth day of February in the Eighth year of his Majesty’s Raigne of England & Anno Domini 1698
