Settlement Paper for Sarah Mattcott, dated 22 February 1738
 

To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St Breock in the County of Cornwall and to Every and Either of them
 
Wee the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St Minver in the County of Cornwall doe hereby certifye owne and allowe that Sarah Mattcott who are [sic] now Desirous to live within your said Parish of St Breock And wee hereby Agree that if she shall at any time become Chargable to the said Parish of St Breock we will receive and Provide for her as the Poor of our said Parish of St Minver She having not acquired any other legall Settlement According to an Act of Parlament in that cause made and provided in Witness whereof we the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor have hereunto set our hands and seals this twenty second day of February in the Twelfth yeare of the Reigne of our Sovrigne Lord George King of Great Brittaine &c Anno Dom 1738
