Settlement Paper for Ferdinande Collings & family,
dated 20 November 1711
To the Churchwardens & overseers of the poor of the
parish of St Breock Next Wadebridge In the County of Cornwall and to all
Persons whom these may Concern greeting
Wee Whose hands and seales Are hereunto sett Churchwarden & Overseers of
the Poor of the parish of Tintagell In the County Aforesaid doe by this
our Certifficate Attested by two Credible? Witnesses owne & acknowledge
Ferdinande Collings Dorothy his Wife and Margarett their daughter to be
Inhabitants Legally Settled In our said parish of Tintagell: Who are for
their Better Livelihood Desirous to Dwell and Inhabit Within your said
parish of St Breock: And this our Certificate Allowed by two of her
Majesties Justices of the peace by Virtue of an Act of parliamt Made in
the Eight & Ninth years of the Reigne of our Late Soveraigne King
William the Third: Shall oblidge us and our Successors and other the
Inhabitants of Tintagell Aforesaid to Receive and provide for the said
Ferdinande Collings Dorothy his Wife and Margarett their Daughter as som
of the poor of our said parish In Such Manner as by the said Act of
parliamt is directed: Witness our hands and seales this twentieth day of
November In the tenth year of the Reigne of our gracious Queen Anne over
great Britain &c Ano q Dom: 1711
