Settlement Paper for Charles Bray & Family, dated 4 February 1730
 

To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St Breock in the County of Cornwall
We the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St Mabyn in the said County of Cornwall Hereby Certify that we Do own and acknowledge Charles Bray Labr. and Joan his Wife and John his Son to be Inhabitants legally Settled in our said Parish of St Mabyn and we Do hereby Promise for our Selves and Successors to Receive the said Charles Bray and Joan his Wife and John his Son or Either of them Into our said Parish of St Mabyn whensoever they or Either of them Shall become Chargeable to or be forced to ask Relief of your said Parish of St Breock In Witness whereof we the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St Mabyn have hereunto Respectively set our hands and seals the 4th. Day of February Anno q Dom. 1730
