Know all men by these presents that we WILLIAM LAWRY and EDWARD LAWRY of the Parish of Kenwyn in the County of Cornwall Yeomen and WILLIAM ROWE the younger of the parish of Kea in the same County Yeoman are held and firmly boung to WILLIAM CHING and JOHN BUSCOMB Churchwardens and WILLIAM PEARSE and RICHARD GUY Overseers of the Poor of the parish of St. Breock in the County aforesaid (In trust for the Parishioners of the said parish) in Fifty Pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to the said WILLIAM CHING JOHN BUSCOMB WILLIAM PEARCE or their certain Attorney their Executors Admors or Assigns To which payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves and each of us Jointly and Severally and our and each and every of our Heirs Executors and Administrators firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated the twenty eighth day of June One thousand seven hundred and eighty.

The Condition of this Obligation is such that whereas Elizabeth Wyatt of the said parish of St. Breock singlewoman hath in and by her voluntary examination taken in writing and upon oath before HENRY ROSEWARNE Esquire one of his Majesty’s Justices of the Peace in and for the said County declared that she is with Child and whereas the said Child is likely to be born a Bastard and to be chargeable to the said parish of St. Breock And whereas she the said Elizabeth Wyatt hath declared likewise on Oath that the above bounden WILLIAM LAWRY is the father of the said Child. If therefore the said WILLIAM LAWRY, EDWARD LAWRY and WILLIAM ROWE the younger or either of them their or any or either of their Heirs Executors Administrators do and shall from time to time and at all times hereafter fully and clearly indemnify and save harmless as well the aforenamed Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said parish of St. Breock and their Successors for the time being as also all and singular the other parishioners and inhabitants of the said parish of St. Breock which now are or hereafter shall be for the time being of and from all manner of Costs, taxes rates assessments and charges whatsoever for or by reason of the Birth Education and Maintenance of the said Child and of and from all Actions Suits troubles and other Charges and demands whatsoever touching or concerning the same that then this present obligation to be void otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue
