Know all men, by theses presents that we FRANCIS MORRISH of the Parish of St. Breock County of Cornwall, (Husbandman) and THOMAS MORRISH of the Parish of St. Mabyn in the said County Yeo: are held and firmly bound unto JOHN BREWER and HENRY BLAKE Churchwardens of the said Parish of St. Breock and County aforesaid; and JOHN KEY and WILLIAM HAWKE Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Breock & County aforesaid; In the Sum of one Hundred Pounds Lawful Money of Great Britain To be paid to the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor or to either of them; or to their certain Attorney, their Successors or Assigns, or either of them, To which payment well and truly to be made We bind ourselves and every of Us, our and each and every of our Heirs Executors and Adminrs., and each & every of them, jointly and severally, firmly by these Presents, Sealed with our Seals dated this twenty-eighth day of June in the tenth year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the third, King of Great Britain and so forth, and in the year of Our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and Seventy 1770

The Condition of this Obligation is such, That Whereas MARGARET MYTER of the aforesaid Parish of St. Breock in the said County of Cornwall (single woman) taken by  Examination on Oath by Robt. BATEMAN One of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace for the said County Have Declared that she is now pregnant with child or children, And that the said FRANCIS MORRISH is the reputed father thereof AND that if the above bounden FRANCIS MORRISH and THOMAS MORRISH or either of them, their or either of their Executrs., or Adminirs., do or shall from time to time, and at all times hereafter well and sufficiently save Defend, keep harmless and Indemnify the above named JOHN BREWER and HENRY BLAKE Churchwardens, and JOHN KEY and WILLIAM HAWKE Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Breock and their successors, and also all and every other the Parishoners and Inhabitants which now are or hereafter shall be of the said Parish and every of them, Respectively of and from the finding, keeping, Educating, Instructing, bringing up and Providing for the said child, or children that shall or may be begotten from the Body of the abovesaid MARGARET MYTER; as by the Law from the date hereof; and of and from, all Actions Suits, Costs, Charges Troubles, Expenses, Damages and Demands whatsoever, which they or any of them shall or may happen to ensue, sustain or be put unto, for and in Respect of the abovesaid child or children; that then this Obligation to be void and of none effect. Otherwise to remain in full force & virtue.
