CORNUB: SE? This Examination of GRACE COLLYCOTT of the Pish of St. Breock single woman Taken on Oath this 10th Day of Jany 1718 before us EDMD. PRIDEAUX and Jno PETER Esqr two of His Majties Justices of the Peace of the said County who being Duly Sworne & examined sayeth that she is now with Child of a Base Child and that Jno. Megar of the sd. Pish gent. is the father thereof and that he the sd Megar hath divers times had the Carnall Knowledge of her Body the first time was abt a year & halfe since in Nicholas Trebilicks House in the Town of Bodmyn, and the last time that he had the Carnall Knowledge of her body was about a month since in the house aforesaid in a Chamber of this said Meagar hath there, and she farther sayeth noe other person hath had the knowledge of her Body but the said Megar and more saith not.
