KNOW all Men by these presents That We HENRY WATTS the younger and HENRY WATTS the Elder both of the Parish of St. Breock in the County of Cornwall Yeomen are held and firmly bound unto SAMPSON BUSCUMBE and THOMAS JULIAN Church Wardens of the said Parish of St. Breock and also to JOHN BUSCUMBE and JOHN BRABYN Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish and to their successors Church Wardens and Overseers of the said Parish of St. Breock or Assignes in the sume of Fifty Pounds of Good and lawfull money of Greate Britain To be paid to them the said SAMPSON BUSCUMBE THOMAS JULIAN JOHN BUSCUMB and JOHN BRABYN and to their successors Church Wardens and Overseers of the said Parish or either of them their or either of their certain Attorney or Assignes For which Payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves and each of us joyntly and severally our and each of our Heirs Executors and Administrators firmly by these presents sealed with our Seals Dated the fourth day of December in the twenty ninth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second by the Grace of God of Greate Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and fifty five.

WHEREAS GRACE BRENTOR of the said Parish of St. Breock in the County of Cornwall single woman is now pregnant and big with a Bastard Child or Children and is thereby become chargeable to the said Parish of St. Breock And whereas the said HENRY WATTS the younger doth acknowledge and agree that he is the Father of such Child or Children as the said GRACE BRENTOR is now pregnant with and doth farther promise and agree to and with the said Church Wardens and Overseers of the said Parish of St. Breock to indemnify and save harmless the said Parish of St. Breock of and from all Costs and charges that the said Parish or Inhabitants thereof may pay suffer or be put unto on account of or in maintainance of the said Child or Children of which the said GRACE BRENTON is now pregnant or which they may be put unto on account of the said GRACE BRENTON during her said pregnancey and/or her lying in NOW the Condition of this Obligation is such That if the said Henry Watts the younger and Henry Watts the Elder or either of them their or either of their Heirs Executors or Administrators do and shall from time to time and at all times hereafter fully and clearly acquit exonerate & discharge or otherwise well and sufficiently save keep harmless and indemnify as well the above named SAMPSON BUSCUMBE THOMAS JULIAN JOHN BUSCUMBE & JOHN BRABYN Church Wardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of St. Breock and their successors for the time being and every of them and also the Parishoners and Inhabitants of the said Parish of St Breock which now are or hereafter shall be for the time being and every of them of and from all and all manner of Expences Damages Costs and charges whatsoever which now is or shall or may at anytime or times hereafter arise happen come grow or be imposed upon them or any or either of them or which they or any or either of them shall pay expend or be up unto or suffer for or by reason or means of the said GRACE BRENTON being now greate with Child or Children as aforesaid or for or by reason or means of the maintainance & support of the said GRACE BRENTOR till she shall be delivered or for or by reason or means of the Birth Maintainance Education and bringing up of such Child or Children that she the said GRACE BRENTOR now goeth with and of and from all such Troubles Charges Damages Expences and demands whatsoever touching and concerning the same Then their above Written Obligation shall be void and of no effect otherwise shall continue remaine & be in full force and virtue,
