I George Wright, of the borough of Bodmin in the County of Cornwall
Brewer by virtue and in exercise and execution of the power of
appointment to me for this purpose given or reserved by a certain
Indenture dated the second day of November one thousand eight hundred
and seventy four and made between me the said George Wright of the one
part and Preston James Wallis and Joseph Stephens therein named and
described of the other part and of every other power or authority in
anywise enabling me in this behalf do hereby direct limit and appoint
devise and bequeath as follows namely:
1 I Give and bequeath unto George Edyvean son of Robert Edyvean of
Bodmin aforesaid my Gold Watch and Chain.
2. I Give and bequeath unto Temple C Martin of London Gentleman the sum
of One hundred and Fifty pounds and all my plate and linen.
3. I Give and bequeath unto Henrietta the Widow of my brother Mounsteven
Wright a clear yearly sum or annuity of Twenty pounds to be paid to her
quarterly during her life the first payment to be made at the expiration
of three calendar months after my decease and I hereby charge all my
real and personal property with the payment thereof.
4. I Give and bequeath the sum of One hundred pounds to each of my
nephews Floran Arthur Everest and Percy Spencer Everest sons of George
Everest of Wandsworth Esquire all the rest residue and remainder of the
property and effects of which I may die seized or possessed or over
which at the time of my decease I may have any power of disposal of
whatever nature or kind the same may be
5. I Give devise and bequeath unto John Billing of Bodmin aforesaid his
heirs executors administrators and assigns according to the nature and
quality thereof respectively but subject nevertheless to the payment of
the above mentioned legacies and annuity and I do hereby appoint the
said John Billing and Peston James Wallis of Bodmin aforesaid Solicitor
Executor and Trustee of this my Will and I do hereby declare that the
said Peston James Wallis shall be entitled to charge and shall be paid
the usual professional charges in and about the Administration of my
estate as if he had not been an Executor any rule of law to the contrary
notwithstanding – In Witness whereof I the said George Wright have
hereunto set my hand this sixth day of November one thousand eight
hundred and seventy four. George Wright
Signed and declared by the said George Wright the testator as and for
his last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same
time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each
other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses

Wallis, Solicitor, Bodmin
This is a codicil to the above written last Will and Testament of me
George Wright of the Borough of Bodmin in the County of Cornwall Brewer
which bears date the sixth day of November 1874 Whereas by my said Will
I have given and bequeathed unto Henrietta the Widow of my brother
Mountsteven Wright a clear yearly sum or Annuity of Twenty Pounds to be
paid at the times and chargeable as in my said Will is mentioned and
whereas I am desirous of bequeathing to the said Henrietta a sum of
money in lieu of the said Annuity Now I do hereby give and bequeath unto
the said Henrietta Wright in lieu and instead of the said Annuity of
Twenty pounds per annum the sum of Two hundred pounds sterling to be
paid to her by my Executors at the expiration of six calendar months
after my decease and I do hereby charge my real and personal estate with
the payment of said sum of Two hundred pounds and in all other respects
I confirm my said Will – In – Witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed
name this first day of April One thousand eight hundred and ninety five.

Signed and declared by the said George Wright as a codicil to his last
Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at
his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have
hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses the said (crossed out) ‘word’
Will having been first interlined between the eighth and ninth lines
from the top of the second side of the said Codicil.

Proved at Bodmin with a Codicil the 11 day of November 1882 by the oaths
of John Billing and Peston James Wallis the Executors to whom
administration was granted.
