BE IT KNOWN that Susanna Oke of Bodmin in the County of
Cornwall Widow
who at the time of her death had a fixed place of abode
at Bodmin aforesaid within the District of the County of
Cornwall died on the 13th. day of December 1900 at
Bodmin aforesaid
AND BE IT FURTHER KNOWN that at the date hereunder
written the Last Will and Testament (a copy whereof is
hereunto annexed) of the said deceased was proved and
registered in the District Probate Registry of His
Majesty’s High Court of Justice at Bodmin and that
administration of all the estate which by law devolves
to and vests in the personal representative of the said
deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to John
Philip Jenkyn (in the Will written John Philip Jenkins) Oke the Nephew of the said deceased and the sole
Executor named in the said Will.
And it is hereby certified that an Affidavit for Inland
Revenue has been delivered wherein it is shewn that the
gross value of the said estate within the United Kingdom
(exclusive of what the said deceased may have been
possessed of or entitled to as a Trustee and not
beneficially) amounts to £1047.14 8
And it is further certified that it appears by a Receipt
signed by an Inland Revenue Officer on the said
Affidavit that £31.1.7 for Estate Duty and
interest on such duty has been paid the duty being
charged at the rate of £ 3 per cent.

PROBATE ENGROSSMENT
This is the last Will and Testament
of me Susanna Oke of Bodmin in the County of Cornwall
Widow I appoint my Nephew John Philip Jenkins Oke now
residing with me at Bodmin sole Executor of this my Will
I Give and bequeath the following legacies
To Hannah Paddon the Wife of Edwin Paddon my Silver Tea
Pot
To my niece Elizabeth Harris my silver sugar basin
To my niece Jemima Penberthy my Silver Milk Jug
To each of the children of my late brother Silas (exclusive of the said John Philip Jenkins Oke as shall
be alive at my decease one of my pictures and Twenty
pounds free of duty
To my sister in law Elizabeth Fisher the wife of the
Reverend James Fisher my sable muffs Victorine and cuffs
To William Williams Oke the sum of Twenty pounds free of
duty
To each of the children of the said Reverend James
Fisher who shall be alive at my decease the sum of Five
pounds free of duty
To Thomas Cleave of Trevanion near Wadebridge the sum of
Three hundred pounds. all the rest residue and remainder
of my real and personal estate wheresoever and
whatsoever I Give devise and bequeath to my said Nephew
John Philip Jenkins Oke absolutely
In Witness whereof I have hereto set my hand this 24th
day of July one thousand eight hundred and ninety seven.

Signed by the said Susannah Oke as her last Will in our
presence and by us in her presence the words "To my Niece Elizabeth Harris my Silver Sugar Basin"
between the seventh and eighth lines having been first
inserted.
