In Her Majesties Court of Probate
This is the last will and testament of me Susanna Hamley of Bodmin in
the County of Cornwall Spinster I give and bequeath all my real estate
with the rights privilages and appurtenances thereunto belonging situate
in Bodmin aforesaid and Saint Mabyn in the said County unto my sister
Betty Pomeroy Hamley for and during the term of her natural life and
from and immediately after her decease then I give devise and bequeath
all that my moiety of and in that freehold dwelling house hereditaments
and premises situate in Fore Street in Bodmin aforesaid unto my nephew
William George Hamley (a Colonel in the Royal Engineers) and Edward
Bruce Hamley (a Colonel in the Royal Artillery) as tenants in common
absolutely And also after the decease of my sister Sally Pomeroy Hamley
I give devise and bequeath all my freehold property in the parish of
Saint Mabyn in the said County unto William Dymond Hamley and Walter
Raleigh Gilbert Hamley the sons of my said nephew William George Hamley
as tenants in common absolutely ALL the rest residue and remainder of my
real and personal estate I give devise and bequeath unto my said sister
Sally Pomeroy Hamley should she be living at the time of my decease
absolutely and in case my said sister Sally Pomeroy Hamley should die in
my lifetime (pencil note in margin saying she did so) then I
give devise and bequeath all the said rest residue and remainder of my
said real and personal estate as aforesaid unto my nephew the said
Edward Bruce Hamley absolutely and I hereby appoint him the said Edward
Bruce Hamley sole Executor of this my last will In witness whereof I
have hereunto set my hand this 9th day of June 1870

last will in the presence of us who in her presence subscribe our names
as witnesses

Proved at Bodmin the 29th day of June 1871 by the oath of Edward Bruce
Hamley the nephew the sole Executor to whom administration was granted
The Testatrix Susanna Hamley was late of Bodmin in the County of
Cornwall Spinster and died on the 19th day of June 1871 at Bodmin
aforesaid
