THIS INDENTURE made the 11th day
of October in the fiftieth year of the Reign of our
Sovereign lord George the third by the Grace of God of
the Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland King defender
of the faith and in the year of our Lord 1810 BETWEEN
CHARLES RASHLEIGH of DUPORTH in the County of Cornwall
Esquire of the first part SARAH HAMLEY of the Borough of
Bodmin in the said County widow and of the one part and
JOHN POMEROY of the Borough of Bodmin aforesaid Clerk of
the other part WITNESSETH that for and in consideration
of the sum of 5/- of lawful money of the United Kingdom
of Great Britain and Ireland to each of the said Charles
Rashleigh and Sarah Hamley in hand paid by the said John
Pomeroy on or immediately before the sealing and
delivery of these presents the receipt whereby is
respectively acknowledged THEY the said Charles
Rashleigh and Sarah Hamley HAVE and each of them HATH
bargained and sold and by these presents DO and each of
them DOTH bargain and sell unto the said JOHN POMEROY
his executors administrators and assigns ALL that
messuage or dwelling house and plot or close of land ?
adjoining situate lying and being in the said Borough of
Bodmin in a certain street called Fore Street and
formerly the lands of Elizabeth the wife of JOHN POMEROY
Esquire deceased and CATHERINE PENNINGTON SPINSTER AND
ALSO all that other messuage and dwelling house formerly
old walls situate lying and being in the said Borough of
Bodmin in the aforesaid Street called Fore Street held
by the said John Pomeroy deceased at the time of his
death by virtue of an Indenture of Lease thereof granted
by George Hunt esquire for the lives of John Belling the
Younger Samuel Stone and Hender Mounsteven son of John
Mounsteven late of the said Borough of Bodmin Surgeon
deceased and for the life of the longest liver of them
which said two messuages and dwelling houses are
adjoining and continuous to each other and are occupied
as one house and were formerly in the possession and
occupation of the said John Pomeroy deceased afterwards
GEORGE JOHN BLEWETT Esquire since of WILLIAM HAMLEY
Surgeon deceased and now of the said Sarah Hamley
TOGETHER with all houses outhouses edifices buildings
stables gardens yards courtlages ways paths passages
advantages and appurtenances whatsoever to the said two
messuages or dwelling houses and plot or close of land
or any part thereof belonging or appertaining or at any
time heretofore hold use occupied or enjoyed or conveyed
taken or known as part parcel or Member thereof or of
any part thereof And the reversion and reversions
remainder and remainders yearly and other rents issues
and profits thereof and of every part thereof TO HAVE
AND TO HOLD the said messuage or dwelling house
hereditaments and premises hereby or mentioned or
intended to be hereby bargained and sold with the
appurtenances unto the said John Pomeroy or his
executors administrators and assigns from the day before
the day of the sale of there premises and during and
unto the full end and term of one whole year from thence
now ensuing and fully to be complete and ended HE the
said John Pomeroy his executors administrators or
assigns YIELDING AND PAYING therefore unto the said
Charles Rashleigh and Sarah Hamley their heirs or
assigns at the expiration of the said term the rent one
pepper corn if the same shall be lawfully demanded to
the intent and purpose that by virtue of these presents
and by force of the Statute made for transferring uses
into possession the said John Pomeroy may be in actual
possession of all and singular the said messuages or
dwelling house hereditaments and premises hereby
bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be
with the appurtenances and be thereby enabled to accept
and take a Grant and Release of the freehold Reversion
and Inheritance of the same 2 messuages or dwelling
houses hereditaments and premises to him his heirs and
assigns by another Indenture of three parts intended to
bear date the day next after the day of the date of
these presents and to be made between the said Charles
Rashleigh of the first part the said Sarah Hamley of the
second part and the said John Pomeroy of the third part
IN WITNESS whereof the said parties to these presents
being first duly stamped have hereunto set their hands
and seals the day and year first above written
