Settlement Document for Thomas Perry, dated 2 July

Removal Order, Thomas Perry from Blisland to Little
Petherick 1833
At the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace of our Lord the King held
at Bodmin in and for the said County the second day of July in the
Fourth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord William the Fourth by the
Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland King
Defender of the Faith and in the year of our Lord 1833 before John
Hearle Tremayne Richard Gully Bennet Esquires.
And others their companions Justices of our Said Lord the King assigned
to keep the Peace in and for the said County. And also to hear and
determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other misdemeanors committed
within the said county.
Upon the continued appeal of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Blisland in the said County, from and against an order
bearing date the fifth day of March last past under the hand and seals
of Richard Gully Bennet Esquire and William Molesworth Clerk. two of his
Majesty’s Justices of the Peace of and for the said County for the
Removal of Thomas Perry from the parish of Little Petherick in the said
County to the said Parish of Blisland And upon hearing what could be
alledged and proved upon Oath on either side, It is ordered by this
Court and this Court doth adjudge that the said Order be: and the same
is hereby on the merits reversed and discharged and that the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said parish of Blisland
some or one of them, do take and carry the said Thomas Perry from the
said Parish of Blisland to the said Parish of Little Petherick and him
delived (sic) to the churchwardens and overseers of the Poor there, some
or one of them who are hereby required to receive him into their said
parish and there provide for him as their own parishioner And it is
further ordered, that the churchwardens and overseers of the Poor of the
said parish of Little Petherick some or one of them do / on Notice of
this Order / pay unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of Blisland some or one of them the sum of Nine pounds – as
and for their costs in prosecuting the said appeal and maintenance of
the said Pauper.
