The Will of John Tonkinge, dated 12 October 1620

In the name of god Amen, the xijth daye of October, Anno
Dni 1620 I John Tonkinge of the pishe of St. Austell
beinge sicke in body, but of pfect mynd & memory (praysed
be god) doe heare make & ordayne this my last will &
Testament in manner & forme followinge: First I bequeath
my soule to Almighty god & my body to Christian buriall. Itm
I give & bequeath to Henry Tonkinge my sonne, Thirty pounds
of lefull money of England, Itm I give more unto my
said sonne a heifer of two yeares and a brasen Crock
two sylver spoones & a payre of sheets; Itm more my
will is that my executor shall give him his dyet for one
whole yeare after my decease, Itm I give & bequeath
to mary Tonkinge my daughter in lawe my wifes best
partlett & her Ringe; It I give & bequeath unto Cislye
Pearce
my wifes best hatt, Itm I give & bequeath unto
Jone the daughter of John Tonkinge one yewe &
a sylver pynne, Itm I give unto Elizabeth dadowe my
wifes best apron, Itm I give unto Peter Pearce one
yewe lambe, Itm I give unto John the sonne of Phillip
Dadowe one yewe lambe, Itm I give & bequeath
unto my two servant mayds xij d a peace. The
Reasidue of all my goods & Chattells movable & unmovable
not before given nor bequeathed I give & bequeath
unto John Tonkinge my sonne & him I name and
make my full & whole executor In the presence
