to the Executor
therein named

The Twenty fourth day of February 1745
I Joan Stephens of the parish of St Austell in the County of Cornwall
Widdow knowing the Time of my Disolution draweth near and that
it is appointed for all men once to do so but being in perfect memory
and Remembrance praised be Almighty God doe make Constitute
and ordaine this my last will and Testament in Manner and form
following that is to say
Principally and first of all I Bequeath my Soul into the hands
of Almighty God my Maker hoping through the Meritorious Death
and passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer to have
free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins; And as for my body to
be buried in Deaseint and Christian like burial at the Discression
of my Executor hereafter nominated and as for the Worldly goods it hath
praised God to bless me with I do dispose of them in the following
manner and form that is
Itm I give to my Daughter Elizabeth Lukes fourty five pounds to be
paid in Eight months after my Decease.
Itm I give to my Daughter Jane Tonken fourty five pounds to be paid in
Eight months after my Desease
Itm I give to my Daughter Mary Burlace fourty five pounds to be paid
in Eight months after my Decease
Itm I give more to my Daughter Jane Tonken my warming pan and
my best Mantle
Itm I give more to my Daughter Mary Burlace my Still and the brass
Crock belonging to it during her Natural life but and if my daughter
Elizabeth Lukes out lives her she is to have them and if my daughter
Jane Tonkin Survives them both she is to have them for Ever.
Itm I give more to my Daughter Mary Burlace one feather bed and feather
Bolster likewise a pare of blanketts and a pare of sheets also all my
best suite of wearing apparle in and throughout
Itm I give to my Grandaughter Mary Burlace one d..... Apron and one
Hessan hancorchef.
Itm I give more to my daughters Elizabeth Lukes and Jane Tonken all the
rest of my wearing appiral to be divided Equally between them
Itm I give to my three Grandsons William Robart and Luke Lukes to Each
of them Twenty Shillings
Item I give to my Grandson William Stephens my Silver ....... six puitor
plates and one puitor pint.
Itm I give to my Grandaughter Joan Stephens one old piece of gold and my
great Bible and also one poutor platter
Itm I give to my Grandaughter Catherine Lukes my Teakettle
Itm I give to my Granddaughter Joan Lukes one Copper Skillett
Itm I give to my Grandaughter Honor Lukes one peuter platter
Itm I give to my Daughter in law Honour Stephens ten shillings
Itm all the rest of my Goods and Chattles of what Nature kind or sort
soever I doe give to my son Robert Stephens upon condition that
he shall pay all my debts and legases and make him my sole
Executor of this my last will and Testament Revoking all former
Wills and Testaments Whatsoever In witness Whereof I have hereunto
set my hand the day and year first above written
