Will of John Hooper, dated 11 March 1801

Will of John Hooper deced
proved in common form before Nicholas Phillips Clerk Bachelor of Law Surrogate etc
And Admon of all and singular of the Goods etc of the said deced and any way convening the said Will was granted to Philip Hooper and Edward Hooper, two of the sons & executors named in the said Will, receiving a power of granting the like Admion to Robin Hooper and son & Executor when he shall think profess to take the same upon himself
Being first sworn etc

In the name of god Amen I John Hooper Of the Parish of St Austle being through the
Mercy of god tho weak in body yet of a Sound and perfect understanding and memory
Do constitute this my last will and Testament And desire it may be Received by all as such
First I humbly bequeath my soul to god my Maker hoping his gracious Acceptance of it
Though the medeation of my Dear Redeemer Jesus Christ Allso I give my body to the
Earth from wence it was taken as for my Burial I desire it may be desent at the Desire
ation of my Exectors hereafter named as Touching my worldly afairs werewith it hath
Pleased allmighty god to bless mee in this life I give and bequeath and dispose of the
same in the folowing maner and form I give to my beloved wife four pounds per year
And her diet during her life if the lives so long live that is upon my tenement
Allso i give to my daughter Elizabeth five pounds and one heifer Allso I give to my daughter Cathern three pounds
Allso I give to my son Henery 20 shillings Allso I give to my son William 20 shillings
Allso I give to my daughter Flerance 20 shillings Allso I give to my daughter Jane 20 shillings
Allso I give to my grandson John Hooper one pound one All my debts and legaces
to be paid in one year after my Diseas Lastly all the rest Residue and Remainder
Of my goods and Chattels and flock of Catel Rights and Credits whatsoever and wheresoever
After payment of my Just debts and legacies And furnarl charges I give and bequeath
To my three sons Robin Phillip and Edward my Exucketors Jointly and I do Constitute
make and ordain my three sons only and Sole Exucteors of this my last will and
Testament and I do hereby uterly disallow Revock and disanul all former wills
and Testaments Ratifying and Confirming This to be my last will and Testament
In witness whereof I the said John Hooper Do set my hand and Seal this 11th day
of March 1801 the sign of John Hooper
