Apprenticeship Indenture, John Dennis to Edmund Herring Laffer

County of Cornwall To Thomas Hender, Abraham Pethick and George Taylor
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Altarnun
in the said County Of Cornwall.
 
Whereas you the said Overseers having proposed unto Samuel Hart Clerk and John Braddon Esquire two of his Majesty’s Justices of the Peace acting in and for the Hundred of Lesnewth within the said County of Cornwall under and by virtue of an act of Parliament passed in the fifty-sixth Year of the Reign of his Majesty, initiated, "An Act to regulate the Binding of Parish Apprentices ," to bind John Dennis a poor child aged 11 years belonging to your said Parish of Altarnun Apprentice to Edmund Herring Laffer of Altarnun aforesaid Yeoman
And whereas we the said Justices having this Day enquired into the Propriety of binding the said Child Apprentice, and having particularly examined and considered the several Directions contained in the said recited Act, and also the Circumstances and Character of the said Edmund Herring Laffer do hereby declare that the said Edmund Herring Laffer is a fit person to take the said John Dennis Apprentice as aforesaid and do Order that you the said Overseers shall be at Liberty to bind such Child Apprentice accordingly.
Given under our Hands this Seventh day of October in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Two
