Settlement Paper for Thomas Reynolds, dated 12 January 1728/9
 

To the Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor of the parish of St Breage in the County of Cornwall and to the Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor of any parish within the County aforesaid

We the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St Agnes in the County aforesaid Doe hereby Certifie that the Bearer hereof Thomas Reynolds Hath Gained a Legall Settlement within our said parish of St Agnes And we doe hereby promise and oblige our Selves and Successors to Receive the said Thomas Reynolds whensoever he shall become burdensome or Chargeable to your said parish of St Breage or any other Parish within our said County That the said Thomas Reynolds shall be Desirous to make his abode in for his better Livelyhood and maintainance In Witness whereof we have hereunto sett our hands & Seals this 12th day of January Anno Dmi 1728/9
